Motor Grader Operator

Seward County Roads Department is accepting applications for the position of a Motor Grader Operator!
 

Reporting to the Foreman, the Motor Grader Operator is responsible for operating the motor grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to ensure the roadways are accessible, safe and in good operating condition.  The Motor Grader Operator performs either rough or fine grade finishing, precisely spreading and mixing materials in order to dry and prep roads, construct road surface to precise grade specifications, lay cold mix, and/or shave and rip out old road surfaces.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license
• Must be able to see while driving, with or without the use of glasses or contacts
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.

Starting wage: $21.15 or more per hour, depending on experience.
