Lead Mechanic

Seward County Roads Department is accepting applications for the position of a Lead Mechanic!
 

This position performs maintenance and repair work on county owned vehicles, heavy equipment, and specialized machines. Perform welding, mechanic work, manual labor, and operation of heavy equipment to complete a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks as required. As a safety sensitive position, the Lead Mechanic will ensure the Maintenance Shop is safe for all employees.

Applicants must be 19 years of age or older, be able to legally perform work in the U.S., have a high school diploma or GED, valid CDL- Class A with no restrictions, a valid Driver’s License, and be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Must have experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty construction equipment.
