Field Operations Technician

Job Summary

The Field Operations Technician supports field-based projects involving fence installation and soil sampling. This role is hands-on and outdoors, assisting with site preparation, material handling, installation tasks, and environmental sampling activities. The position is well-suited for individuals interested in construction, land services, or environmental field work, and is open to discussion regarding internship opportunities and additional duties based on experience and interest.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with the installation, repair, and removal of fencing systems

· Support soil sampling activities, including sample collection, labeling, and basic documentation

· Prepare job sites by clearing areas, staging materials, and maintaining a safe work environment

· Operate hand tools and basic power tools under supervision

· Follow project plans, safety procedures, and company standards

· Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment

· Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean working condition

· Assist senior technicians and supervisors with field tasks as needed

Qualifications

· Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Willingness to learn and follow instructions

· Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools

· Attention to detail, especially during soil sampling and documentation

· Valid driver’s license preferred

· Prior experience in fencing, construction, environmental work, or field services is a plus but not required

Pay Range: $18 - $30 per hour DOE.
